Robert Martin
Robert Martin is a seasoned professional land surveyor with over three decades of experience in the field. He began his surveying career in 1986 and has since become a trusted expert, known for his technical proficiency and dedication to advancing the profession. Currently, Robert serves as the Senior Technical Team Lead in Survey Sales at NEI, overseeing a team that operates across six states. He is licensed as a surveyor in Hawaii, Arkansas and Mississippi, allowing him to effectively serve clients throughout these regions.
In addition to his professional roles, Robert is deeply committed to education and mentorship within the surveying community. He shares his extensive knowledge through his YouTube channel, “Surveying with Robert,” which has garnered over 11,000 subscribers. On this platform, he offers insights into advanced surveying techniques and the latest technological advancements in the industry. Colt Ratliff
Colt Ratliff is a licensed Professional Surveyor (P.S.) serving as the Vice President and Survey Manager at Tice Engineering, headquartered in Wiggins, Mississippi. He holds surveying licenses across multiple states, including Hawaii, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Ratliff has been involved in innovative surveying projects. Notably, he contributed to a comprehensive survey of the Pearl River in Jackson, Mississippi, commissioned by the Mississippi Department of Transportation. This project aimed to assess bridge scour and involved integrating data from aerial LiDAR drones, hydrographic scans, and terrestrial scans to create a detailed 3D model of the river and its infrastructure. Ratliff emphasized the advantages of utilizing drone-based LiDAR technology in such projects, stating that it facilitated access to extensive river areas more efficiently than traditional topographic survey methods.
